We are seeking experienced Software Engineers to work for an extremely large and prestigious organisation based in Wiltshire. You will work closely with the Software Design Authority and Solution Architects, gaining an understanding of the high level design and software requirements. The technical leads will perform low level design, utilising their deep understanding of the principals of OO design and design patterns.
Candidate Skills Required:
* Design, Code and Unit test software components.
* Employ best practice OO design using UML to perform low level design with adherence to the software architecture.
* Demonstrate excellence in technical design and implementation.
* Act as a mentor for team members
* Support the Integration, Test and Sell-Off of components.
* Attend formal project meetings and reviews.
* Work collaboratively within the team sharing ideas and experience with other members
* Produce and maintain the technical content of documentation.
* Have a broad understanding of SOA, J2EE and appropriate technologies including Spring, Google Web Toolkit and Swing.
* Be focused on delivery timescales, highlighting risks and slippages appropriately.
* Demonstrate communication skills in both technical and non-technical disciplines.
